"Hammock"

The Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest in Wisconsin’s Northwoods is one of the top ten most heavily-logged national forests. At the cutting rate employed over the last 10 years, every single log-able acre would be cut in 45 years.

In 2005, ELPC successfully obtained three precedential federal court decisions declaring that the Forest Service violated the National Environmental Policy Act in approving timber sales totaling 22,000 acres. The Court granted injunctions against the sales unless and until the Forest Service fully complies with the federal environmental laws. The Forest Service is seeking to move forward with the timber sales and has since proposed five additional timber sales totaling 34,000 acres.

Let the Forest Service know that you value our forests and clean water.

"Coloring Book"

"Coloring Book" focuses on a child who is coloring in a coloring book. As he colors, the viewer sees that his crayons read: River Brown, Sky Brown, Meadow Brown and Spring Brown. He looks proudly at his artwork of a brown tree, grass and sun as the narrator comments, "If we don't protect our environment, we could lose a lot. Color, for example." The ad emphasizes the need to protect the richness of our environment's colors by asking the viewer to help keep the sky blue and the forests green.

"Greener Greens"

A spin-off of a laundry detergent commercial, "Greener greens" focuses on asking the question, "Doesn't the environment deserve the same treatment as your laundry?" The ad concludes with the thought, "Maybe someday we won't have to live with ring around the city." This ad vividly illustrates the need to safeguard our natural resources.
