A Community Forum for McHenry County

Crystal Lake, IL –The Environmental Law & Policy Center, the Midwest’s leading environmental law and advocacy organization and McHenry County College (MCC) will host a community forum on November 17 from 12:30 to 4:00 pm at MCC’s Conference Center.  The forum will discuss the state of water resources in the county and practical steps our community can take to conserve water and prevent water shortages. 

County reports predict potential water shortages within a few years unless the county and residents act soon or now to conserve and protect water supplies.  The event will feature local and regional water conservation experts, members of community groups, and MCC faculty.  Sessions will include interactive displays, open discussion of water saving activities people can do at home, and a raffle and special door prizes for participants. 

The event is free and open to the public.  Refreshments will be served.
