The Illinois Paddling Council is an association of paddlers and paddling organizations dedicated to promoting the safe enjoyment of all phases of canoeing and kayaking in Illinois, to assure access to the state's waters and to protect and preserve the natural resources within the state.

Illinois Solar Energy Association The goal of the Illinois Solar Energy Association (ISEA) is to provide energy education and promote the application of solar and renewable energy technologies.
Illinois Student Environmental Network Illinois Water Environment Association The Illinois Water Environment Association, a member of the Water Environment Federation, is dedicated to improving Illinois' surface, sub-surface and atmospheric water.
Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant College Program The Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant College Program addresses the critical concerns of resource sustainability, water quality, ecosystems and human health of the area of Lake Michigan bordered by the two states.
Indiana Creek Nature Center is a private, non-profit nature center providing environmental education for all ages.
Indiana Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts, Inc. Indiana Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts' mission is to represent Soil and Water Conservation Districts (SWCDs) as one voice, and to assist the leadership of local SWCDs through coordination and education for the wise use and management of our natural resources.
The Indiana Audobon Society was organized to stimulate interest in birds and their protection; to serve the needs of youth, schools, civic, church and other groups by providing information concerning birds; and to educate the public concerning the necessity for conserving and preserving Indiana's natural heritage, its unique flora and fauna.
The Indiana B.A.S.S. Federation boasts more than 192 chapters and more than 3,100 members. Fishing is the common thread of the organization, but most members use their chapters to benefit a variety of causes and interests.

The Indiana Wildlife Federation (IWF), an affiliate of the National Wildlife Federation, works to promote the wise use of renewable resources through educational programs, works with state agencies and similar organizations to monitor what is happening to Indiana wildlife and their habitat.
Inland Bird Banding Association The Inland Bird Banding Association, with the largest membership of any bird banding association in America, is an organization for all individuals interested in the serious study of birds, their life-history, ecology and conservation.
Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy The Community Forestry Resource Center (CFRC), established by the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy, promotes responsible forest management by encouraging the long-term health and prosperity of small, privately-owned woodlots, their owners and their communities.
International Crane Foundation The International Crane Foundation (ICF) works worldwide to conserve cranes and the wetland and grassland ecosystems on which they depend. ICF is dedicated to providing experience, knowledge and inspiration to involve people in resolving threats to these ecosystems.
International Society of Arboriculture The International Society of Arboriculture is a worldwide professional organization dedicated to fostering a greater appreciation for trees and to promoting research, technology and the professional practice of arboriculture.
The mission of the Iowa Academy of Science is to further scientific research, science education, public understanding of science and recognition of excellence in these endeavors.
Iowa Association of Naturalists The Iowa Association of Naturalists (IAN) is a professional organization that promotes the development of skills and education within the art of interpreting the natural and cultural environments.
The Iowa Environmental Council is an alliance of diverse organizations and individuals working together to protect Iowa's natural environment, with the goal of a safe, healthy environment and sustainable future for Iowa.
The Iowa Native Plant Society is a forum where plant enthusiasts, gardeners and professional botanists may exchange ideas and information. The INPS sponsors field trips, workshops and restoration of natural areas.
Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation The mission of the Iowa National Heritage Foundation is to build partnerships and educate Iowans to protect, preserve and enhance Iowa's natural resources for future generations.

LLake County Soil and Water Conservation District The Lake County Soil and Water Conservation District is an organized unit of government functioning under Illinois law to promote the protection and conservation of Lake County's soil, water and related natural resources.
Lake Forest Open Lands Association Lake Forest Open Lands Association is a private land trust in northeastern Illinois that owns and protects more than 750 acres of prairie, savanna, wetland and woodland in Lake Forest.
Land Conservancy of Lake County The Land Conservancy of Lake County (LCLC) strives for the preservation, conservation and management of open lands, natural areas and ecosystems through full or partial interest real property; and for increased student and citizen awareness and appreciation of the natural environment through public education and stewardship.
Land Conservancy of McHenry County The Land Conservancy of McHenry County works with private landowners, communities and developers to protect open space resources throughout McHenry County, primarily through holding and managing conservation easements.
Land Conservancy of West Michigan The Land Conservancy of West Michigan permanently protects lands that contribute to the distinctive character and quality of life in West Michigan.
The League of Ohio Sportsmen is dedicated to supporting conservation, restoration and education that promotes the wise use and enjoyment of our natural resources including sound wildlife management.
Liberty Prairie Conservancy preserves open space and restores natural areas in Lake County.
LightHawk LightHawk is an organization of volunteer pilots whose sole purpose is to help with environmental projects. Providing perspective from the air, LightHawk gives its passengers the chance to see for themselves the widespread effects of unsound environmental policies and practices. Further, the aerial platform provides groups with the opportunity to gather scientific data and photographic images in support of conservation. For example, LightHawk flights enable passengers to serve as expert witnesses or document evidence for court cases; write informed articles for media campaigns; take photographs to assess land conditions; and survey habitat needed to protect endangered or threatened wildlife.
The Charles A. and Anne Morrow Lindbergh Foundation The mission of the Charles A. and Anne Morrow Lindbergh Foundation is to improve the quality of life through a balance between technology and nature.
Living Lands and Waters' mission is to aid in the protection, preservation and restoration of the natural environment of the nation's major rivers and their watersheds; to expand awareness of environmental issues encompassing major rivers; and to create a desire and opportunity for stewardship and responsibility for a cleaner river environment.

McHenry County Conservation District The McHenry County Conservation District owns or manages more than 20,000 acres of open land with young and old trees, prairies, wetlands, ponds, creeks and rivers. Its 22 open conservation areas include trails, picnic facilities, shelters, camp sites, fishing sites, rare plants and animals, educational facilities and more.
The McHenry County Defenders is a citizen organization dedicated to the preservation and improvement of the environment. It is committed to building sound ecological relationships between people and the natural world that supports all life.
McHenry County Soil and Water Conservation District The McHenry County Soil and Water Conservation District's purpose is to serve McHenry County residents and businesses, and to assist in the conservation and protection of land, water, air and other resources.
Michigan Audubon Society works to foster the appreciation and protection of birds, wildlife and their habitats through education, research and conservation/preservation.
The Michigan Nature Association is a conservation organization dedicated to protecting Michigan's most exceptional natural habitats and extraordinary or endangered species.
Michigan United Conservation Clubs The Michigan United Conservation Clubs (MUCC) work to conserve Michigan's wildlife, fisheries, waters, forests, air and soils by providing information, education and advocacy.
The Michigan Wildlife Conservancy provides the techinical and financial assistance that landowners and managers need to restore and maintain wildlife habitat on their own land.
Midwest Center for Environmental Science and Public Policy The Midwest Center for Environmental Science and Public Policy provides scientific and technical support to organizations committed to improving and protecting health and the environment.
Minnesota Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts The Minnesota Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts (MASWCD) exists to provide leadership and a common voice for Minnesota's soil and water conservation districts and to maintain a positive, results-oriented relation with rule-making agencies, partners and legislators; expanding education opportunities for the districts so they may carry out effective conservation programs.
The mission of the Minnesota B.A.S.S. Federation is to stimulate public awareness of bass fishing; offer moral and political support to promote adherance to, and enforcement of existing conservation regulations; promote and encourage youth fishing and teach the importance of "Catch and Release;" and to improve members' skill as bass anglers.

Minnesota Ornithologists' Union The Minnesota Ornithologists' Union is an organization of both professionals and amateurs interested in birds that fosters the study of birds and aims to create and increase public interest in birds.
Minnesota Wildlife Heritage Foundation, Inc. The mission of The Morton Arboretum is to collect and study trees, shrubs and other plants from around the world, to display them across naturally beautiful landscapes for people to study and enjoy, and to learn how to grow them in ways that enhance our environment. Muskies, Inc. is an active, service-oriented organization for men, women and children with the single focus of improving the sport of muskie fishing everywhere the fish are found.
NThe National Ground Water Association The National Ground Water Association is dedicated to advancing the expertise of all ground water professionals and to furthering ground water awareness and protection through education and outreach.
National Wildlife Rehabilitators Association The National Wildlife Rehabilitators Association (NWRA) is dedicated to improving and promoting the profession of wildlife rehabilitation and its contributions to preserving natural ecosystems.
The mission of the Natural Land Institute is to create an enduring legacy of natural land in northern Illinois for people, plants and animals.
Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin The mission of the Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin is to promote the knowledge, enjoyment and stewardship of Wisconsin's natural resources.
The Nature Conservancy - Illinois Chapter The mission of The Nature Conservancy is to preserve the plants, animals and natural communities that represent the diversity of life on Earth by protecting the lands and waters they need to survive.
The Nature of Illinois Foundation The Nature of Illinois Foundation was founded in support of the Illinois Scientific Surveys (geological, natural history and water) and the Waste Management and Research Center.
